GROESBECK
NEW HEAD OF SCHOOL
Hilton Head Preparatory School has appointed Dr.
Susan R. Groesbeck as head of school. Groesbeck
has 31 years of teaching experience in both public
and private education and has served as headmaster
for Holy Innocents' Episcopal School in Atlanta
since 1996. She graduated from Skidmore College
and earned her M.A. and Ed.D. from the University
of Rochester.
D.R. HORTON PROMOTES PILKINTON, HIRES RASMUSSEN
AND SIMPSON
Melanie Pilkinton was promoted to office manager
of D.R. Horton. Previously from Bombardier Capital
and Mercedes Homes in Jacksonville, Florida, Pilkinton
has been with D.R. Horton for a year and a half.
D.R. Horton also welcomes David Rasmussen and Joshua
Simpson. Rasmussen has joined the sales team of
D.R. Horton at Westbury Park after serving as a
youth pastor for St. Luke's Episcopal Church. Simpson
graduated with a degree in construction management
from East Carolina University and has been hired
as a builder.
PALMETTO PEDIATRICS WELCOMES SALYER
Lance Lowe, M.D. is pleased to announce the
addition of Alicia Salyer, M.D. to Palmetto Pediatrics
of the Lowcountry. Salyer earned her doctor of medicine
from the University of South Carolina School of
Medicine in 1999. She completed her residency at
Backus Children's Hospital in Savannah.
SEA PINES REAL ESTATE ADDS NEAL
Nancy Neal will serve as a real estate executive
at the Daufuskie Island office of Sea Pines Real
Estate Company. Neal is a resident of Daufuskie
and is chairman for the Daufuskie Island Committee
for the Daufuskie Island Historical Museum.
ROSE HILL ADDS MORRISON AND QUISENBERRY
Mike Quisenberry has joined the staff of Rose
Hill Golf Club as director of instruction. With
over six years of experience, he has worked at several
Lowcountry golf courses, including Harbour Town
Golf Links, the Plantation Club in Sea Pines and,
most recently, at Wild Dunes in Charleston. Rickey
Morrison has been hired as golf course superintendent
and joins Rose Hill from its sister course in Carrollton,
Texas. He brings over 14 years of experience in
turf grass management and maintenance supervision
and a strong background in golf course construction.
CHAMBER HIRES JOHNSON
The Hilton Head Island-Bluffton Chamber of Commerce
welcomes Liz Johnson as special events and projects
manager. Previously at Lighthouse Financial Services
and the Crowne Plaza Resort, Johnson earned a bachelor's
degree in hotel and restaurant administration from
Central Missouri State University.
PAWLISHYN PROMOTED MEDICAL CENTER
Barbara Pawlishyn has been promoted to director
of laboratory services at Hilton Head Regional Medical
Center. She has more than 20 years of clinical laboratory
and leadership experience. She holds a bachelor's
degree in health administration and is a certified
medical technologist.
LIBERTY SAVINGS PROMOTES COPPAGE AND BOYLES
Stephanie Coppage has been promoted to customer
service representative, level-two floater and Serena
Boyles promoted to AU Analyst level two at Liberty
Savings Bank. Coppage attended Abundant Life Academy
and worked as a bookkeeper at Rankin Truck Brokers
before joining Liberty Savings. Boyles has been
with Liberty Savings since 1997.
McDONALD APPOINTED COORDINATOR
Georgeann McDonald, R.N. has recently been appointed
pain care nursing coordinator for the practice of
Gary W. Thomas, M.D., PA. McDonald brings 15 years
of hospice and pain management experience to the
position. Past experience includes Fox Chase Cancer
Center in Pennsylvania as well as Hospice of Northern
Virginia.

YEAR ROUND POOL MERGES WITH ATKINSON POOL
With the hopes of providing Charleston with
the same service Hilton Head Island has had for
the past 23 years, Year Round Pool Co. merged with
Atkinson Pool Co. The new company, Atkinson Pools
by Year Round Pool LLC will serve the Charleston
area.
LAUREL ONE SELECTS CHARTER MEMBERS
Charleston-based real estate development company,
Laurel One Corporation, named four builders as charter
members of the Shell Hall Builders Guild Cornerstone
Homes of the Lowcountry, Craig Rymal, president;
Creative Structures, Inc., John Ballenger, president;
Legacy Construction, LLC, Jim Buck, president; and
Paragon Construction, Rick Leach, president.
Each charter member is building at least two model
homes that will open to the public in October at
