GEPHARDT APPOINTS WILLIAMS CAMPAIGN DIRECTOR
Rep. Dick Gephardt has appointed Isaac "Ike" Williams as the South Carolina State director of his presidential campaign. Williams, most recently a district aide to Rep. Jim Clyburn, has four decades of South Carolina political experience, including Clyburn's successful 1992 election to the U.S. House of Representatives. The Gephardt campaign South Carolina headquarters is located at 1815 Gervais St. in Columbia.

DELLA ROSA NEW SALES ASSOCIATE AT CHARTER I
Charter I Realty and Marketing is pleased to announce the arrival of their newest sales associate, Christopher R. Della Rosa. He is a graduate of Long Island University and worked previously as a cinematographer in New Jersey. Prior to joining Charter I, he has worked locally in various capacities at Antonio's Restaurant.

D.R. HORTON ADDS RAYMOND, HOOVER, MCCLARY
D.R. Horton has added Gina Raymond as operations administrator, Jean Hoover as closing coordinator and Phillip McClary as estimator. Raymond previously co-owned a printing business in Ohio. Hoover was a property manager prior to joining D.R. Horton. McClary is a graduate of the University of South Carolina.

CROWNE PLAZA HIRES WILLIS
Marlene L. Willis has joined the staff at the Crowne Plaza Resort as sales manager for the conference sales department. Willis previous position was sales manager for The Hilton in Greenville, S.C. She is a graduate of Radford University and is a certified meeting planner (CMP).

BEARFOOT SPORTS ADDS DURIS
Bearfoot Sports Event Management and Sports Marketing has hired Danielle Duris as the director of sales and operations. Previously, Duris was marketing director for Bunting Construction Company, Inc. on Hilton Head. She has a master's degree in sport management from Georgia Southern University and a bachelor's degree in exercise science from the University of California at Berkely. She was a division 1 collegiate diver at both schools.

WEST WITH HILTON HEAD BROKERS
Doug West has become a buyers agent with Hilton Head Brokers Real Estate, which exclusively represents buyers of Hilton Head area properties. West was formerly affiliated with Coldwell Banker.

PHYSICIANS JOIN MEDICAL STAFF
The Hilton Head Regional Medical Center welcomes the following physicians to its staff: Thomas A. Newton, M. D., received his medical degree from the Medial University of South Carolina, Charleston, S.C. He completed an internship at the Naval Hospital in Jacksonville, Fla., and a residency in Emergency Medicine at the University of Fla. Health Science Center in Jacksonville. Alicia A. Salyer, M.D. received her medical degree from the University of South Carolina School of Medicine, Columbia, S.C. She completed residency in pediatrics at Memorial Health University Medical Center, Sav., Ga., and was Memorial's chief resident, Department of Pediatrics, in 2002-2003. Marian Taylor, M.D., received her medical degreefrom the Medical University of South Carolina, Charleston, S.C., where she also completed residency in internal medicine,fellowship in rheumatology and fellowship in cardiology. Joseph DeStefano, M.D. received his medical degree from the University of South Carolina School of Medicine, Columbia, S.C. He completed an internship and residency in internalmedicine at Greenville Hospital System, Greenville, S.C. Anthony Geraci, D.O. received his doctor of osteopathy from New
York College of Osteopathic Medicine of New York Institute of Technology. He completed an internship and residency in internal medicine at Saint Michael's Medical Center, Newark, N.J. Mark A. Lawton, M.D. received his medical degree from Mercer University School of Medicine, Macon, Ga. He completed an internal medicine residency at the Medical Center.

HEIN JOINS COASTAL HEMATOLOGY AND ONCOLOGY
Joni H. Hein, BSN, RN, CCR, has joined the staff of Coastal Hematology and Oncology as a clinical research nurse. She holds a bachelor's degree in nursing from Georgia Southern University. Previously, she worked as senior research study coordinator for St. Joseph's/Candler Heath System.

AWARDS AND CONFERENCES
Debbie P. Bolton, Adventure Radio personality, has been selected as one of the "Top 25 Most Attractive Females" in radio for 2003. Bolton is co-host on My Country Gator 106.9 and host of "Debbie's Diner" lunchtime request show on Oldies 98.3. Thomas Bundy, M.D., Hilton Head Dermatology and Skin Care Center, recently attended the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery annual meeting in California, attending seminars on hair removal, non-ablative and ablative skin resurfacing and optical diagnostic imaging. Florry Gibbes has been named the 2002-2003 Zonta Woman of Achievement by the Zonta Club of Hilton Head. The award is given annually to a club member who best represents the ideals of Zonta International. Scott and Frances Moody of Hilton Head won five honorable mentions in the Wedding and Portrait Photographers International Awards of Excellence Competition. Michael C. Riley Elementary School has been named a red carpet school by the State Department of Education in recognition of its outstanding family friendly environment and excellent customer service efforts. Catherine Aitchison, Michelle Leahey and Suzanne VanVort are the recipients of the South Carolina Nurses Foundation Palmetto Gold Award. The award honors registered nurses who exemplify excellence in practice and commitment to the nursing profession. Arnold Building Systems has received a National Design Build award from American Buildings Company. The award, earned in competition with projects by more than 1,000 builders nationwide,
was for the new headquarters of Ocean Woods Landscaping, Hilton Head. Hilton Head Island was recently voted as one of the South's top three resorts by readers of Southern Living magazine in its annual Readers' Choice Awards issue. Hilton Head has also been ranked as one of the World's Top 40 Classic Islands by Condé Nast Traveler, One of the World's Fab Five Family Isles by Islands Magazine and ranked as having one of the top three beaches in the U.S. by The Travel Channel.
